For couples
Hotel Nelson is a small upscale motel near the marina. Marina Resort on Magnus Street is adults only, with a pool, cabanas and spa treatments, close to Dutchmans Beach.
Between Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay
Peninsula Nelson Bay on Shoal Bay Road has motel rooms, spa suites and two-bedroom apartments. It’s about five minutes’ walk to Little Beach and ten to the marina.
Resort stays
The Landmark Resort suits golfers and self-caterers. Just west in Corlette, Anchorage Port Stephens is a waterfront resort with pools, a day spa and two restaurants beside the Anchorage Marina.
Near the cruises
